      I’m wondering if you might want to move your 100% free audit up to the forefront. Just get them in the door first, get them to sign the proposal and get the online brand report. The demo is good, that really shows your process and clients like seeing “processes/workflows”. People buy systems.

      As for the 5 months, 20% increase in leads… that’s good. But the 50% refund isn’t. I know we’re talking about a service here with overhead and actual labour involved. So maybe… as a suggestion, perhaps we promise something with a shorter timeframe and give a 100% refund instead?

      Think of these as front-end offers where we simply get them in the door, get them to try our service… and hopefully, we break even on month 2 and 3 once they’re in with us. Does that make sense?

      Or you could stick to the 50% refund and explain that that’s the best you can do as an owner since you have overhead and labour costs and that 50% is your cut and you’d be not making any money.

      Now if you really want to amp this up, though… I got two things for you:

      1. Can you make the guarantee even stronger? Can you say, “if you don’t get X result, I will pay you $Y for wasting your time?”

      2. A recorded webinar is cool. So is a wall chart… but think of bonuses as trojan horses. How can you get them to buy more of your stuff, more of your back-end and pay for your higher level stuff? Can you do a quick 15 minute coaching session so you can sell them a package of 6-8 hours at the end of it? How else can you hook them and increase your customer life-time-value (LTV)?

      Just throwing stuff out there.

      Hi Kenneth,

      I couldn’t ask for anything more. I write most financial promotions and getting the client to “pay on top of refund” is always a guarantee I push for.

      Now, here’s one thing I’d do to get more money out of them in the long run. Think of bonuses as trojan horses. How can you get them to buy more of your stuff, more of your back-end and pay for your higher level stuff?

      In this case, I would give them those bonuses you listed for say… 90 days or 6 months. It’s a trial. But if they want them after that, it’s $497/mo. or something. That way you get passive income once you get them hooked.

      Welcome back.

      This is a good start, but you need to tweak a lot of things.

      What is the scope/timeframe of the at 100% guarantee? Is it 30 days, 90 days, lifetime?

      Where is the sign-up process? Are you using ClickBank? InfusionSoft? What do I click on, what do I have to do and where do I give you payment info? You have to write that out.

      I think you also have to make it extra explicit that the domain, hosting plan and themes are BONUSES. You don’t do that well enough. But that’s a simple fix. You just have to add “on top of that, if you sign up now…” or something. And maybe even end with… “That’s for you only for a limited time.” something like that.

      Make sense?

      1. Do you give a refund? What happens if you DON’T boost my business by 50%? Is that 50% revenue or net?

      2. How do you receive my payment? Is there an agreement to sign? Can I pay by credit card, check or cash? It sounds tedious to list all these things out… but think of it this way… you are at that moment where they’re about to say yes… but there’s that niggling feeling in the back of the head that they should pull out and this is their last chance to. You know this feeling to. Remember the last time you bought something really big and expensive and that feeling right before you signed the agreement?

      There’s a lot of stuff here that’s not part of the exercise. Let’s zero in on the exercise stuff…

      1. Is there a guarantee or a risk-reversal you can put in place for the regular sessions? Assume they took you up on the free session and they signed up for your core plan.

      2. I’m assuming you’re doing this in person. So you reserve their time, ask for credit card information and I’m assuming they fill out a form too? yes? You need to mention the form and explain the form.

      3. What are the bonuses for me signing up to your REGULAR sessions? Let’s work on that.

      Also – on a side note… asking for referrals when you haven’t delivered any value yet is a HUGE mistake in my opinion. Why the heck would I refer anyone to you if you haven’t shown me you’re someone I would want to expose to my social network? I’d remove that immediately.

      You can ask for the 3 booked sessions thing AFTER you’ve got them into your regular sessions and they’re a committed paying client AND they like you.

        Now, about your question.

        Yes, I could help you get results eith German.

        Because I speak many languages (English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Dutch conversationally or better… and a bit of Italian and Russian)

        …I have figured out a lot of principles and techniques which work for learning any language (haven’t been proven wrong yet, anyways)

        …point is, German is definitely included.

        Now, if you allow me to read between the lines a bit further…

        The key piece of advice I would give you first would be that… if you’re like me… connecting with real live natives (even in the smallest way) changes everything.

        And people don’t realize this… but you don’t even have to know the language to start throwing yourself in there. It just takes the right attitude and some strategy.

        I’m sure you’re already talking with natives already but juuust in case you’re not… trust me, you’re gonna want to try it out.

        (You could be Skyping with a native German speaker by tomorrow on a site like hellolingo.com …and there are probably some native Germans you could meet in your city too.)

        Now, don’t get me wrong.

        There is a TON of meaningful and very necessary work to be done totally solo, and DuoLingo could be a useful tool in that area if you think it can work for you (though I lean more heavily on other tools).

        But again, this is key: if you’re not interacting directly with natives, and frequently practicing conversations with them (and before you know it, having real conversations with them)

        …then you are missing out on the aliveness and the connection that I believe learning a language is all about.

        (Plus, if you want to get good at having conversations… it just makes sense that you should practice that very thing.)

        If done right… this connection with real people (combined with a deepening sense of conversational competence over time) is the best fuel for making your language learning enjoyable and almost automatic.

        (even if you know literally ZERO words… even if you are scared of sounding stupid or being a hassle… there are ways to reframe and address those concerns, and to still start conversing immediately in ways that are positive for everyone)…

        In other words… in my experience with language learning, I strongly support intertwining the “get good” and “get connected” phases right from the very beginning.

        By adding the social element early (and dealing with any challenges that might block you from doing that, or that might cause you to view your experiences as negative)

        …you can create an upward spiral that makes the learning process actually fun, and almost automatic… and this cycle can carry you to higher and higher levels of competence.

        Imagine…

        Access to a new world of people you’d never get to know otherwise…

        New friends…

        A beautiful girl (or guy) whispering in your ear…

        The ability to make an old lady on a park bench smile…

        A quiet coffee with someone you otherwise would never have even been able to meet or talk to…

        A sense of progress and a continually increasing ability to share with a new community of people…

        …this is all possible right at the beginning, or wherever you are, and it gets even better as you go.

        So look…

        Other people might just spend all their time memorizing vocab and conjugations…

        …but when they realize they still can’t have meaningful conversations, they fizzle out.

        Whether quickly (or worse yet, slowly, forever thinking it’s just out of reach)…

        …they end up moving on to something more fulfilling.

        Whether they realize it or not, they are spinning their wheels, and spending more of their scarce time on Earth on that path is not likely a very useful investment.

        But there’s another way…

        If you’re like me… you’re gonna want to connect with real live natives… and watch your language learning become alive.

          I am NOT connecting with natives though a good friend of mine is Swiss-German… slightly different. But you’re right, this is a crucial step. I’ll check out hello lingo. It’s a matter of prioritizing my 2018. LOL.

            Oh I definitely understand haha. Priorities are important…

            Also, always remember you don’t HAVE to learn a language…

            It should feel like fun, and a way to make life even better.

            Not like an obligation or “homework”.

            If you do try it out, remember to find something cool about each part of the process, even if everything feels awkward.

            And also the risk reversal (if I may)… or at least risk reduction…

            … is that you can always just test the waters by hopping onto a ridiculously quick text or voice chat on hellolingo… you can even hang up 2 seconds in, or 2 minutes in… if you felt overwhelmed.

            That’s part of the beauty of starting out online…

            That although I believe it’s good to generally be nice to even online strangers…

            …you have more ability to free your mind from worrying about social consequences

            …and end an online interaction at any time, for any reason, with no explanation… and pretty much zero repercussions.

          • And by try it out, I mean ADDING in conversations with natives to your current language learning approach.

            (Don’t mean to downplay the things you are already doing.)

              Yeah, it’s a really good idea that I’ve been avoiding. And you’re right, it has to be fun and not an obligation. When I started on Duolingo, it was because I had killed all social media and needed a new distraction on the phone. There’s not pressing need to learn it. If anything, I should be learning Mandarin. That’s the language that will rule the world in 20 years…
